Hello, I'm Chi. Your Remote-Career Big Sis.
I help graduates, mums and career switchers learn one digital skill and earn in dollars from home, because I know exactly what it feels like when the door stays shut.

A First Class degree, and no job
My dad did not go to school, so I am first generation. I worked as a secretary for ₦20,000, then ₦30,000. I ran a small printing shop, hawked tea on the streets of Ikeja and did network marketing.
I went back to school late and graduated in 2018 with a First Class, top 3% of my class. I was almost 26, and the jobs I found wanted 18 to 25. No connections. No godfather. My mates moved on, and my dad kept asking, "have you gotten a job?"

I googled "how to make money online"
During NYSC in late 2019, I found social media management on Coursera, applied for financial aid and started learning. I documented it on LinkedIn, and an HR found my posts.
I nearly turned the job down because network marketing was paying decently. My then fiancé told me to take it. That became my first remote job.
One skill, shown in public
- 2020First remote job, working from home
- $15/hrFirst dollar client, found on LinkedIn. The second paid $20 an hour
- $10First Upwork job, taken to earn my first review
- 2022Pitched a CEO whose post asked for Asia or Europe. I was in Nigeria. I got the job
- $5,400Earned from five Upwork reviews, all 5.0
- Dec 2023Started teaching. 111 students joined my first cohort
- TodayCohort 15, and 3,500+ people mentored across 20+ countries
Nobody is coming to pick you
The degree did not open the door for me. A skill and being visible did. I was told I was too old, too far away and too unconnected, and every one of those turned out to be untrue.
So that's what I teach: learn one skill properly, show the work in public and apply anyway. The door opens from the inside.
- Myth"I'm too old for this now." The market called me too old at 26. Clients never asked my age.
- Myth"I need experience first." I took a $10 job to get one review, and did it like it paid $1,000.
- Myth"Remote jobs aren't for my country." A post said Asia or Europe. I pitched anyway, and I was hired.
- Myth"I don't know anybody." An HR found me because I posted my learning on LinkedIn.
